Die Weltlinie im KloHäuschen

World line

In fact, the Toilet-House has got so much to offer: Fascinating surfaces, stylish ceramics, and the ultimate in interior design. And the translucent glass brick wall with two pulsating sources of colour in amber and aquamarine blue slides like a bolt through the room, dividing it into a before and behind. The glass paravent is currently enclosed by the sculpture and continued by it as a linear movement in the vertical, high up to the injured ceiling with the lamp ruin.

A total of 370 paving stones are stacked on top of each other for the intrinsic installation with the room and the glass wall = world line. It consists alternately of 39 stone and 38 steel grid layers. In order to connect the stacked layers and to give them elastic stability, 4 stones are threaded centrally on 4 vertical rods. The paving cubes are joined together with one of the oldest cultural products of mankind, iron, to form a new order. The original connection of mineral and metallic elements in the rock is renewed in the Toilet-House.
